Welcome to El Compadre Blog. My name is Juan Duran and I love what I do. In fact, I love it so much that I decided to share it with all of you. When I first started working at Casa Dorada Los Cabos nearly two years ago, I knew I was up for a great working environment and a fun beach resort ambiance, but what I didn’t expect was the amount of new friends I was about to make.
At the Okianus Bar, every day is full of fun and as you sit by the bar relaxing and soaking up the sun in the pool, new friends simply come and join you for a drink. Every conversation turns into an opportunity to get to know somebody interesting and this is how my new friends end up in this blog. Their stories and anecdotes make my work day not seem like a work day at all. As I prepare some great Mojitos and chat with people from all over the world, I can’t believe I’ve been doing it for over 13 years!
There’s one thing that everybody at Okianus Bar (including staff and guests) has in common and it’s love for Los Cabos, Mexico. Having arrived in Cabo San Lucas from Puebla about 8 years ago, now my favorite activities are fishing and of course my job. My daughter, Kelly, was born here 5 years ago and now this is my new home.
